The dinner was nice. But the views didnt really make it worth to dine on a boat as such. It was a full day light and the views of dirty houses, boats and rain made it rather depressing. All I wanted is simply to get back on land and warm up. It was a freezing day. It was not a night cruise, which is what I hoped for.

A part from the fact that we never got to understand why we neded to be there 15' beforehand - since a group of Germans boarding another boat got priority - we enjoyed the trip very much. The dinner was very good. The desert was not overwhelming, then again, I personally am not much of a desert person. The lady friend accompanying me is a desert person and - after the lovely meal all together - seemed to have expected more from it. All in all, a lovely, quiet trip alonside the canals, something to see and talk about whilst having a rather nice meal with an acceptable wine. I personally congratulated the chef for a real good job in a not overly comfortably tiny space. I congratulated the young waitress too. They were both working in difficult circumstances and her kindness/friendliness and his good cooking made it a very enjoyable evening all together.

Cannot praise the Dinner Cruise enough, the boat, the food, the city, the chef - everything was absolutely amazing! Of course, we were very lucky to even be on the boat, as CityDiscovery never bothered to send me any confirmation, merely debiting my account and counting the money. It was only the hard work and perseverence of the extremely friendly staff canalside, who wouldn't give up and and chased CityDiscovery until they gave them our code directly which enabled us to take the cruise. Take the cruise, you will never regret it! Just book it on the day (apparently there is good availability outside of peak season), the office is directly opposite Centraal Station!

Good overview of Amsterdam. Disappointed that bus didn't stop (or slow down) for windmill photo-op. Delete diamond shop (no one is going to purchase in less than 1 hour). Liked Anne Frank House stop as last part of tour & can be done on own time. Wanted to do canal cruise, but your site kept bringing me back to this tour. Some reviews mentioned canal tour as part of bus tour which would be preferred over diamond stop.

The weather did not help us enjoy this tour to its full potential, we had torrential rain and got thoroughly wet. However, that is not the fault of the tour so I will do my review as though the weather was fine. The tour around Amsterdam to see where Anne Frank lived and went to school was good. The visit to the Diamond Factory was a complete waste of time and should be deleted from the itinerary. The canal cruise was wonderful. The visit to the place where Anne Frank hid from the nazis was very crowded, make sure you take a tour at a time when it is not so busy. It was super interesting and a must-see. We were not informed that we would not be transferred back to our pick-up place so this caused a small problem once the tour ended. Be prepared for this, make sure you have funds for taxi, bus, etc.

The city and canal tour would have been much better if the guide did not have to speak in four different languages. We missed a lot of the high lights. The Diamond Factory was nothing more than a sales pitch which you could have got from any good jewellery store, a waste of time. The Anne Frank House was the saving grace of the tour . It was excellent and well worth a visit.

My wife & I took our year old granddaughter on a trip to Amsterdam as a treat for working so hard at school. We pre booked this tour and were pleased that we did as the queue's were horrendous but we walked straight in to the Ann Frank House which is a must to see. The diamond factory was a real treat and our youghster got to try on a really expensive ring which she is still talking about. The canal cruise was very informative and great fun . I recommend this tour to all who are looking for real value for money. Your Tom Drummond very satisfied customer.

Hearty welcome and good service. Candlelight Cruise is a charming way to discover Amsterdam from water. The boat is comfortable and well decorated. Vine is just OK but you can get as much as you wish. The comments are basic and in 3 languages (the night we listened to them) and it's quite difficult to follow. So many tourists don't listen after 30 min and start talking rather loudly. If you are in good company you'll pass a nice moment. A little bit long (the canals look very much alike...).

Fondamentalmente non è male , i problemi erano che non vi era alcuna guida in italiano e che una semi cena a lume di candela (parecchio vino ed un discreto assaggio di formaggi) andrebbe condiviso solo con la persona amata e non con due sconosciuti a fianco che condividono lo stesso tavolo. E pensare che vi erano due tavoli liberi ma la hostess non ne ha voluto sapere

Nice cruise at the hour where the sun was falling down. We really appreciated the interesting comments, with a lot of humor, and a translation in French, for us, when we cannot understand all the comment in English.

It was nice for the price. The cheese and wine were great and the sites of course were beautiful. Unfortunately there wasn't much romantic candlelight because it didn't get dark until the last 10 minutes or so of our cruise, but other than that it was perfect.

A relaxing way of exploring Amsterdam's canals. We loved the boat houses and found the stops ideal for visiting the many attractions on offer in Amsterdam. We can't wait to visit again, probably in December, for a longer period. We would also take advantage of booking the second day for 50% discount next time.

I loved it a lot. The route you had was very easy to follow and I was able to plan where I should get off and on. Pilots(?) were very well skilled. It was a good idea that guests could use until noon next day with the same ticket. That gives them freedom and making up what they missed to see on the first day. Unlike Paris and Berlin, everybody in Amsterdam spoke English, and it was easy for me to communicate. Don't work too hard.

I liked it very much, even though I was much older than the college students there. It was still fun. The drink that you get at each pub is poured into your mouth of a drink that is pre-made, not one of your choosing. As being a old fogie, I was looking forward to receiving my free tee shirt. Really good value for money, free drinks and entry to every bar (there are 6 bars in total) We caved in after the third, but if we did it again we'd totally go the whole hog! Definitely recommend.

This tour was generally good, however, I think that it would be better to have longer stops in the Hague and Rotterdam rather than the stop in the flower auction. This seemed pointless to me as all you see is a warehouse full of flowers from a high gantry that circles around the warehouse. This seemed like a complete waste of 50 minutes when the tour rushed us through the Hague and Rotterdam. Madurodam was much more interesting than I thought it would be. Unfortunately, there was a problem with the voucher for the tour that I received which stated that the tour picked up from Damrak 34. I looked on the tour operator website and this said that the pick up was near the Rijksmuseum. So, I got the hotel to check with the operator and they told me that the tour departed from their office near the Rijksmuseum. It was fortunate that I checked the pick up, otherwise, I would have missed the tour completely. I had many problems trying to get through to City Discovery and they couldn't assist me in any way. It was fortunate that the hotel was close to public transport, so that I could get to the office, but it still cost 3 euros to get there, when I had expected to just walk across the street from the hotel. However, despite this, I recommend the tour. The price was good and you got to see two of the other major cities of South Holland.

We were a couple of woman looking to find out about the 'real' Red Light district and we certainly found this tour did just that. The tour guide is extremely informative, very relaxed and easy to talk to and an all round top person. She is just lovely. So interesting, you find out things you would never have known. The prostitute centre was an eye opener for us as you could ask the lady any questions you wanted, and she answered honestly and with humour. Such good value for money. Completely recommend it.

Wish this tour would have picked us up at our hotel, the Marriott. Very expensive to get us to tour location. The guide walked too fast and it was too hard to understand her. The visit with the former prostitute was interesting but too short of time spent with her and she hurried us out. No place to sit down in her museum and our feet were tired. The tour was interesting, however.
