The tour was too short , it must be longer and the guide was too rude, extremely impolite, she treated tourist in a terrible manner, she shouted all the time . I have never had such a unkind guide, I can't remember her name but you can find her because we were in the red tour and we enter the palace at 11:30h. Please teach her how to be nice.

Took the tour on December on a day that was too much fog on the City of Vienna. Nonetheless the tour was interesting. The guide (Angela)was vere informative on each area we passed by and in Schonbrunn Palace. I recommended it should you want to have the first impressions on Vienna.

Very very interesting tour for somebody not knowing Vienne; we have a general good view of the city with interressant explanations. Maybe not so long rthe time inschonbrunn, to be able to see mors slowly the general tour. It was said in english, OK, but rhe lady-guide was so nice, she explained also in french. So wonderful.

the tour through schonbrunn was interesting and the guide well informed. however, the drive through vienna gave nearly no information and the guide spent more time trying to sell her book and dvd than focusing on narrating the actual tour.

We only had a short weekend break in Vienna and decided that a tour around the city to point out the highlights would be great. The palace was amazing, especially with the Christmas Market. Our guide, Petra was very knowledgable and open to questions. Three hours passed extremely quickly. Pick up from the hotel was an added bonus and extremely helpful and good idea. Although the same trip is available from many tour operators at approximately the same price, i can happily recommend City Discoveries.

The tour was interesting. No food was provided, or even a snack on the boat. The guide was somewhat indifferent and unclear regarding the time and place of meeting to get into the abbey. I misheard him saying the time of meeting and the location and wandered in the garden coming toward the entry 10 minutes prior to the time intended just to find out that the group walked in not even looking for me. We had no group ID, and the number of groups was high, so no one had any sign as to how to recognize the participants. I had to ask a guide of a different group to assist, and she referred me to the group English leader. It was upsetting missed 20 minutes of the internal visit explanation. Overall, it was negligence, as i could have missed my connection in a different location. On the returned part of the trip, on the bus, i insisted that the guide drops me at the hotel. Luckily my hotel was on route to the drop off place, so the guide could not excuse himself from complying. In general, the English tour, was not a sole tour for English speakers, the guide switched from English to Spanish to Franch, thus creating confusion, and in my case misunderstanding regarding the time and place of meeting. It is misleading to promise an English tour, and in actuality speeding up from one language to another without any time for questions, or any other details.

We were only 2 french people in the bus and the guide would like to do it in english for us but i told Her that i have paid for this tour in french language and my friend doesn't speak well english so she does it at the end in french language and finily this guide speaks very well french

The boat ride down the Danube was everything we had hoped it would be. Finding the right bus to take us to the bus barn was an adventure. Not enough direction at the Vienna Opera House pickup site. Once we got there it was AMAZING!!!

I enjoyed seeing the sights of Vienna by Night especially once we got to the Danube Tower & was able to look down on the City of Vienna. Unfortunately my camera was playing up @ the time so was unable to take any photos but I still have the wonderful memories with me for life. Managed to purchase a few postcards in the Souvenir Shop on the way out after being up to the Observation Deck. My only recommendation would be to wrap up very warmly if you do this tour in Winter months like I did as it was quite cold & windy the night I visited the Tower in December 2011. Enjoyed the drink, music & of course Sacher Cake in Grinseng @ the Tavern we visit after visiting the Tower. Make sure you take your purse or wallet with you as the meal @ the tavern is not included in the price of Tour ticket. Don't have to have a meal but as we got to Grinseng @ approx 1930hrs I'd recommend having a meal @ this tavern

There were two best parts: 1. Our guide, Hans. Very personable and worked very hard to make sure we were looked after. 2. The restaurant side tour to the wine area. Best part of the trip (Gruning, I believe was the name of the town.

Time distribution for this tour was poor. We spent 8 hours driving on the bus, and actual visiting Zalsburg was less than 31/2 hours. Furthermore, the point of boarding the bus to return was not clear, so time was wasted just locating and assuring that we are at the right place. We had no ID to familiarize us with other tourists, so we had either to search on our own, and to ask others to concur. The extreme hot weather did not help to make us enjoy the visit, and the guide brought us to the center of town and told us to be at the bus at a certain time. He explained to us the major places, and we felt that we could have spent more time, had we had it, to take the cable up the mountain, yet, with my experience of the day before, i was afraid that I might be left behind, and no one would look for me, so i did not venture taking the cable. In general, this tour was better organized, however, the distance was far from Vienna, so that the time was a factor in limiting our visit experience. .

Tour Guide not always accurate with facts. As a musician I know that the first performance of Mozart's 'Marriage of Figaro' did not take place in Prague but in Vienna!

Michael was a great local guide - very passionate about his city and shared lots of interesting stories. Quite funny which made it more interesting. One problem was at the beginning when we were picked up by someone who dropped us off at a bus station and told to get on a bus and then he just left without explaining what would happen next. When we got to Bratislava Michael was waiting and he was great. It seemed quite disorganized at the beginning but it all worked out in the end. The lunch organized was not great: staff were very abrupt and impatient for us to all eat quickly and leave, and the food was not great.

Pick up at hotel was prompt. The bus left on time but the driver was noted to be rude to other customers. The tour guide in Bratislava was good (Andy). The restaurant was empty except for the tour group (not a good sign) when many restaurants in the neighborhood were filled with people. The food was poor quality and the service was not very friendly.

Mozart is Mozart, with such an orchestra: marvellous. and in the Opera, what a scene ! Maybe I should have prefered to be warned that our places were at 5 th floor, by feet. At my age, it took me half an hour to have breath.!!! I found a lift to go down.

Excellent value for money and a 'must do' for us in Vienna. On the down side the transport provided took us to the resturant, then to the concrt but we were then told to make our own way back - as it was our first day in the city this was a bit of a challenge - but we worked it out.

this was really devine: the concert hall, the orchestra, the dancers and singers ! what a surprise = a great souvenir.We love much more Strauss now and Vienna music. The typic austrian meal is maybe a little week, and not very original, but it was not bad and there is no complain.
